Project Manager
About Us
We transform historic homes in Upstate New York into design-forward short-term rentals. Our properties are character-rich, thoughtfully curated, and built to deliver standout guest experiences.
We’re hiring a Project Manager to oversee the execution of our short-term rental projects from the day we close on a property until it’s live on Airbnb. You’ll work under our Construction Lead and be the primary owner of the project timeline, budget, and execution. Your job is to make sure each property gets completed on time, on budget, and to our high standards of quality and design.
This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented role that requires excellent communication, organization, and follow-through. You’ll be in constant contact with contractors, subcontractors, the interior designer, furniture vendors, photographers, and our internal team to keep everything moving. If something’s not going to plan, you’ll be the one to catch it early and course-correct.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the point person for each property from closing to Airbnb launch
- Manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables across multiple projects
- Coordinate with all stakeholders: interior designer, contractors, subs, vendors, team members, and owners
- Track progress and update the internal team on project status and blockers
- Schedule and oversee installations, deliveries, and service appointments
- Handle furniture orders, returns, and logistics
- Ensure the house is fully set up and styled for photography and guest-ready
- Schedule and manage the photographer and final walkthrough
- Troubleshoot delays, missing items, quality issues, or budget overages
- Maintain project documentation and task tracking
- Be proactive in spotting problems before they escalate
- Own the final checklist to ensure every detail is complete before the property goes live
What We’re Looking For
- Experience managing home renovation, interior design, or real estate projects
- Ideally has worked at a construction company or in a similar environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple vendors and moving parts at once
- Comfortable working under pressure and adjusting timelines as needed
- Comfortable with spreadsheets, task management software, and Google Drive
- Must be detail-oriented and solutions-focused. If you apply (instructions below), include a P.S. telling me who your favorite interior designer is — just a little detail to help us spot the people who actually read the full listing.
Bonus Points If You
- Have experience working within the short-term rental industry
- Are excited about small teams, high standards, and beautiful, thoughtful spaces
